ABSTRACT
This paper presents a hybrid hardware–software test platform designed for laboratory research of photovoltaic (PV) modules under a wide range of specific dynamic conditions. The system is based on a six degree of freedom hexapod mechanism, enabling precise orientation and motion of the modules, synchronized with electrical and thermal measurements. The platform enables metrologically traceable and repeatable testing across configurable tilt and azimuth angles, supporting laboratory emulation of solar tracking trajectories and partial shading conditions. The management and processing of data is realized through LabVIEW and MATLAB/Simulink, ensuring consistent data acquisition and processing of measurements. The proposed approach advances conventional static testing methodologies by introducing metrologically traceable motion with six degrees of freedom, which provides the opportunity to analyze angular efficiency and the influence of functional surface coatings
