ABSTRACT
In this report, we raise the problem of the birth of illegitimate children and children born under conditions of legal marriage. We present data and outline trends that are clearly in the direction of non-marriage as a state. We consider children born out of wedlock as a risk group and highlight protection measures and integrated support within the Community. In support of the outlined trend, we analyze data on newborn children in the "Dr. Tota Venkova" Hospital, Gabrovo in the period July 2021 – August 2025.
